Product Description

GWT3500 is a direct modulation 1550nm DFB transmitter for analog TV, digital TV and CMTS signals local fiber dense distribution and QAM TV Signal long-distance fiber transmission. The transmitter utilizes high linearity DFB laser, RF power digital automatic process technique, along with RF pre-distortion circuit developed by Greatway Technology.  The built-in microprocessor monitors the transmitter working status and automatically ensures the optimistic performance. GWT3500 is ideal for analog TV fiber distribution within 20Km and QAM TV signal long distance transmission within 100Km.

Fiber was introduced to transmit CATV RF in 1990s due to its low attenuation and almost unlimited bandwidth.  RF to fiber converter is the most important equipment.  With low noise amplifier and microprocessor, the total RF power on the laser can be accurately set, ensure the best the optical modulation index (OMI).  The cooled DFB laser in the transmitter ensures the stable DWDM optical wavelength for broadcasting or inserted narrowcasting interactive services.  Meanwhile cooled DFB laser has better laser RIN (relative intensity noise) and stable laser output power. Ortel-Emcore high linearity cooled DFB laser and Greatway design have been proved to be a successful combination.  GWT3500 optical transmitter has been widely used by clients in North America, South America and China with excellent performance and well proved reliability.

Together with Greatway high power optical amplifier, GWT3500 transmitter can deliver high quality TV signals fiber to the building or fiber to the home.
